Leisuredrive Campervans

We were very impressed on our first visit to LeisureDrive in early October when we met Derek and Stewart and had a good look around the various campervans with their different layouts. We saw a van that we really liked as we were wanting a rear kitchen layout having previously had a VW with a side kitchen layout. Derek was very happy to change the seats for covers that we wanted, to add a solar panel and also to put a microwave in for us. We didn't have long to wait until we had a call to say that our van was ready for collection. On the day we collected our campervan, a couple of weeks ago now, the handover from Stewart was very thorough. He discussed every aspect of the new conversion and how all the appliances and lighting etc worked. The LeisureDrive bag, bottle of Prosecco and two LeisureDrive mugs given to myself and my Mum was a lovely gesture, thank you! We had a trouble free journey back home and we are looking forward to many days out and camping trips ahead. We have had a couple of day trips out already! The experience here was second to none. We have thought about buying a campervan for a long time and have looked at them on the second hand market but not had the confidence to buy. We called in at leisuredrive to have a look and the service was first class, no pressure, knowledgeable and friendly sales people. We found a van we really liked and even though it was more than we thought about spending it was worth it for the peace of mind that this company has been in business for many years and they know what they are doing. Would highly recommended giving them a visit if you are looking to buy. Really looking forward to picking up our vehicle and exploring the country.

Outstandingly good company. From my first phonecall enquiry to driving off in the campervan Leisuredrive have been outstanding. Courteous and very informative and clear in all correspondents and enquiries. The quality of their conversions is first rate. Always ready to answer the most basic question. At no point was I overwhelmed by sales and push but guided through all the options allowing me to make my decisions. They kept me upto date with the conversion with regular photos, communication was excellent. Prices are exceptional taking into account the quality of the conversion. The range of conversions is excellent accomodating all needs and types. I am so pleased to have found Leisuredrive and to have bought a campervan from them. They have made the process of campervan buying so easy and hassle free. I had been hunting for campervans for over a year and have had some very unpleasant sales experiences, but not from Leisuredrive. They're the friendliest bunch of people as well. I thoroughly recommend them for anyone looking for a new conversion or for the used vans. A professional , experienced company who know what they're doing, will treat you so well and will put a smile on your face with the quality of their vans. We have had our Vivante Hightop for nearly a year and after a slow start due to health issues, she really came into her own this summer with trips to Dorset, the Isle of Wight, Norfolk , Suffolk Yorkshire and finally the North Coast 500 over the last few weeks. She (Wandii) has been brilliant for touring, so easy to set up once you arrive on site and then pack up again for moving on. We soon got to grips with making the beds up, doing the night blinds and how to utilise the storage in the best way for us. Our 5 year old grandson has had a trip and coped with the roof bed well, although we mainly use it for storage. The design and equipment are all so well thought through, it makes living in the van easy. We are so pleased we trusted that we could cope with the short wheel base rather than going for something bigger as it makes the driving and particularly parking easy. Derek and other staff at Leisuredrive were really helpful from when we first visited to select our van and then for the very instructive and thorough handover. We only had one issue with one of the seat runners but Leisuredrive quickly sorted it out for us.We took a little while to get to grips with all the equipment as it was more sophisticated than our old Romahome but we now find it all a joy to use. We definitely have been delighted with Wandii, we look at some of the massive motorhomes on the roads particularly in Scotland and feel very smug and happy whilst zipping along and manoeuvring wherever we want to go. It is also lovely that we have seen other Leisuredrive owners on many of the sites we have been on and chatted to quite a few, all of them have been equally delighted with their vans. Had the van now for approaching 12 months and have done over 100 nights away with only 10 on electric hook up . The service from Leisuredrive was very good and build quality excellent , we have the Vivante high top with child bed (this is best described as a adjustable loft space for longer trips) and four travailing seats and a Diesel heater (lovely and toasty ). The way the seats lie down to make the beds gives a length bed (I am 6`1” and no problems) ,we mainly use as two singles but can be made into a double but its a bit of a faff with all the infilling of the cushions . Bad point Leisure drive seem to be one of the only converters that seem to be sticking with a split charger relay for the charging leisure battery combine this with Euro 6 engine that only charges the battery to 80% dose not leave much for off grid usage , If you are the type of camper that predominately uses electric hook up you probably would not even notice . This van is my pride and joy.
