Mint Campers

We absolutely love our Mint Camper. Tom was brilliant from stat to finish. The craftsmanship and attention to detail is outstanding. We get lots of compliments wherever we go. If you’re thinking about getting a camper conversion I’d highly recommend getting Tom and his team to do the job, you won’t regret it. 5stars really doesn’t seem enough.

We are writing this review after a few trips away with our new Mint camper. We couldn’t be happier with how the conversion turned out! Tom has been great through the whole journey - from helping to source our van, through to design, build and sorting the inevitable small issues after too. James (who did the electrics) is always on hand to help out over WhatsApp, which we really appreciated, especially in the early weeks when everything was new and unknown. We went for a four-birth conversion without a shower, but in a longer L4 van. After seeing a conversion in the L3 van, we felt we wanted a bit more space and a slightly larger bed. Tom was able to accommodate this design change for us. On top of the basics and quite a few optional extras, we got a microwave fitted as well as dimmable ceiling lights. We also customised the colours and fabrics to our choosing. After meeting with many different campervan conversion companies, hiring vans with different layouts, and after two years of research, we are so glad we settled with Tom and would 100% recommend getting a Mint camper!

We owned a VW T2 for 18 yrs which was bespoke built for us but now wanted a new larger Campervan. I went to many Motörhome shows and saw lots of different types of builds but no one went outside the box building only mainstream designs. I then went about searching for an independent van converter who was original and prepared to adapt a design that suited us as we knew exactly what we wanted. That’s when we found Tom of Mint Campers whose finish etc stuck out to us, all in a beautiful wood finish, this was exactly what we were after in our new build. Once we commissioned Mint Campers and the design was finalised Tom started the process and gave us a time period with a completion date. There wasn’t much to discuss during the build as this was all confirmed in the design stage but Tom did contact me on a couple of occasions for some amendments that were needed. Our new Campervan was ready more or less on schedule and we were over the moon with the finished article, the finish is second to none and I know what I’m taking about having been a carpenter for over 45 yrs and having my own company where customer service always came 1st, this was very prevalent when dealing with Tom. I highly recommend Tom and Mint Campers for your Campervan conversion especially if you want that individual, superbly finished, independent expert advice, experience, attention to detail with the customer service you would expect from any conscientious company, do not look any further, you will not be disappointed with Mint Campers I’m absolutely sure. I am also going to mention there was a couple of teething problems once we starting using the campervan, these all got resolved very quickly including our fridge door being faulty which wasn’t closing properly (I sent Tom a video so he could see the issue) several days later he was on my doorstep with the new part ready to change it, you might think “well what would you expect” but Mint Campers are in Bristol and my doorstep is in London, so he definitely went the extra mile which I know you think they should but as we all know it isn’t always the case. This customer service is a really important factor in the whole process, not only do you want the the build that you envisaged but you definitely want to feel secure a good back up service is in place if it is required. A great job Tom and thank you very much, may you be as every bit as successful as you deserve to be 👍

Our van, Fran, is a Ford Transit converted in to the most beautiful little house on wheels with three bunks at the back for our girls. The quality of the work was incredible and everyone commented on the attention to detail. Moreover though, Tom is the nicest craftsperson you'll come across - honest, open and up for talking through decisions. He'll deliver what you want, for the amount you agreed, on time and it will be beautiful.
